Why is it so frakking difficult for you to hold a constant conversation with me without drifting off/ignoring me?
And once again you let me down…
We don’t need no education. We don’t need no thought control. No dark sarcasm in the classroom. Teacher, leave those kids alone. Hey, Teacher, leave those kids alone! All in all it’s just another brick in the wall. All in all you’re just another brick in the wall. We don’t need no education. We don’t need no thought control. No dark sarcasm in the classroom. Teachers, leave those kids alone. Hey, Teacher, leave those kids alone! All in all you’re just another brick in the wall. All in all you’re just another brick in the wall

What a ridiculously awesome Friday.
When you spend 45 minutes of precious studying time drying your aikido gi with an iron because you forgot to hang it in time for class…
No, listen. I’ve got it now. You meet a girl: shy, unassuming. If you tell her she’s beautiful, she’ll think you’re sweet, but she won’t believe you. She knows that beauty lies in your beholding. And sometimes that’s enough. But there’s a better way. You show her she is beautiful. You make mirrors of your eyes, prayers of your hands against her body. It is hard, very hard, but when she truly believes you… Suddenly the story she tells herself in her own head changes. She transforms. She isn’t seen as beautiful. She is beautiful, seen.

I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep.
You may have heard of me.

There are three things that all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.

A Wise Man’s Fear in 3 days
I have just finished a Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss.
It is his second book in the amazing trilogy, which started with The Name of The Wind.
Just so you get an idea of how amazing it is. I was compelled to finish the 1200 pages within three days despite exams going on.
Words cannot explain just how spectacular this series of books is.
I seriously recommend you put down whatever you are doing and read it. Then come and talk to me. I can promise you will not regret it.
It is so many things rolled into one and if you don’t believe me just read the first chapter on the internet. Beautiful writing.
I just don’t know how to describe it.
In the words of the character himself, Kvothe: “I travelled, I loved, I lost, I trusted and I was betrayed”
“Kvothe… musician, beggar, thief, student, mage, hero and assassin”
